The Springfield Water and Sewer Commission’s vision is to improve the quality of life for our community through public health protection, environmental stewardship and support of sustainable economic development.

The Commission works to develop, operate and maintain our water and wastewater systems in a cost-effective manner by

Providing quality services to our customers,
  Protecting and maintaining an adequate, uninterrupted and high quality water supply,
Providing effective drinking water treatment and distribution, and supporting fire protection,
Collecting and treating sewage to environmental standards beyond permit requirements, and returning clean water safely to the river,
Developing and maintaining a safe, professional workforce, and
Building alliances with communities and educating future generations about the importance of protecting our water resources.
